A partial lunar eclipse will occur this Saturday, October 28, 2023.
The eclipse will be visible from all of Europe, Africa, most of Asia, and western Australia.
The partial eclipse will begin at 3:34 p.m. ET and end at 4:52 p.m. ET.
During the partial eclipse, the moon will appear to have a bite taken out of it.
A penumbral eclipse will also occur on Saturday, beginning at 2:01 p.m. ET and ending at 6:26 p.m. ET.
During a penumbral eclipse, the moon passes through Earth's outer shadow, causing it to dim slightly.
To view the partial lunar eclipse, simply look up at the sky during the time of the eclipse. No special equipment is needed.
