The cause of Adam Harrison’s death, son of “Pawn Stars” creator and star Rick Harrison, has been disclosed as an accidental overdose involving methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The revelation comes a month after Adam’s passing in his Las Vegas residence. An inquiry into his death was initiated last month, as disclosed by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department to TMZ.
A public information officer from Clark County, Nevada, conveyed in an email to USA TODAY on Thursday that the 39-year-old’s cause of death was fentanyl and methamphetamine intoxication. The Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner categorically stated that the cause of death was accidental.
Prior to his demise, Adam had been residing in the guesthouse for two weeks, as indicated in the report. A woman residing in the RV between the main house and guesthouse informed authorities about Adam’s alarming behavior, including barricading himself inside by pushing furniture against the house.
Concerns arose when the woman renting the main house received no response after knocking on Adam’s door on January 17, the last day he was seen. Notifying the landlord on January 19, it led to the discovery of Adam’s unresponsive state in the guesthouse.
“Pawn Stars,” featuring Rick Harrison and his family, has been on the History Channel since 2009, focusing on the commercial transactions of Gold & Silver Pawn, a storefront on Las Vegas Boulevard, and family dynamics.
